Let’s color March 17, 2009 GREEN! At first I really don’t know what’s with this day “St. Patrick’s Day”. All I know is that it is an Irish celebration and that’s it! And as I just searched for some stuffs in the internet like glitters, graphics, icons, backgrounds and comments for my Friendster and myspace account, well there it goes! You can notice that even through the internet, people are being reminded about this special celebration.

I then learned what’s with this day. In American cities with a large Irish population, St. Patrick’s Day is a very big deal. Big cities and small towns alike celebrate with parades, “wearing of the green,” music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Its a time for fun..or have a pint o’ the dark stuff. Some communities even go so far as to dye rivers or streams green! See all the Parades & Events going on around the World to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day 2009 here and find your nearest Irish Pub!

Well now St. Patrick’s Day wouldn’t exist if not for the man himself! But how much do we know about him? Did you know that he spent six years of slavery in Ireland until he escaped and undertook religious training abroad? Read more about this great man!
