Ok, so there’s no leakage here. But I’ll try to give some pointers to those 4th year high school students who will take the UPCAT this Saturday and Sunday (August 2 3, 2008). The results of this year’s UPCAT won’t be released until February or March, but that shouldn’t prevent you from doing really good in the test. Just remember these 10 tips and you will be OK.

1. Think positive, believe in yourself that you can do it. Be prepared both in your body and mind.
2. Have a good breakfast, not too heavy, and arrive at least half an hour before the time of exam.
3. Visit the rest room before the start of the exam so that you will feel comfortable.
4. Check the assigned seat for you. If you are uncomfortable try to request for another seat.
5. You will be provided with scratch paper. Make use of them in solving problems especially in Math.
6. Read the directions of each exam carefully. Dont Panic.
7. Budget your time, answer items first that you know, then go over items that are left unanswered.
Be sure you answered all items.
8. Make intelligent choices on questions you do not know (or do not answer them. Remember right minus wrong!).
9. If you find some errors in the tests do not waste your time asking the proctor or other students.
10. Do not leave the room until the time is up. Use the extra time reviewing your answers.
