For some reason, I was actually rooting for Margarito in their WBA Welterweight fight because Cotto was counterpunching. I had hoped for a toe-to-toe fight but Cotto as making use of the ring iin trying to escape Margarito. Then suddenly, on the 11th round Cotto drops to the canvas with a Margarito combination. Seconds later Cotto’s corner threw in the the towel and Margarito is the new WBA Welterweight champion. It took 11 rounds to bring down a champion and although many fans are disappointed in Cotto, Margarito deserved the title.
