Believe it or not, yours truly the Dark Knight has always been awed and inspired by nature. Decoding the gene of the platypus took scientist years to accomplish and finally confirm that it is indeed a mammal, classified as such because it produces milk for its young. This is although the platypus had scientists guessing for decades because of its reptilian attributes, namely laying eggs, and its bird-like webbed feet and duck-like snout. Deciphering the platypus genome is so monumental for some that they consider it close to deciphering the human genome. Hehe. Just kidding.
