Get the ticket man! So why is the result of this fight an important one for Dela Hoya? Because he needs it to build himself up for his rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on September. He wants people to believe he is still strong and can take the punches of Mayweather, and even knock him out for the first time in his career. The better the outcome of this fight ( a knockout or even just a knockdown) with sluggish Steve Forbes, the bigger his paycheck is for the September fight.

Steve Forbes is a low-ranked boxer and was personally handpicked by Delahoya to fight him. According to news, this fight prety much have a script, with Dela Hoya winning by a knock out (KO) or TKO.

Dela Hoya seems to regain his old confidence back now that he has again have Floyd Mayweather Sr. as his coach and trainer. This seems to be a really nice sub-plot for September, a father against son angle. I don’t know who will care to watch the full fight live (or online or PPV), but I know the cheapest tickets are already sold out, so I guess some people would still like to watch the Mexican Golden Boy in action.
