I’ve just successfully withdrawn $12.51 from Project Wonderful to my Paypal account. That’s my earnings for two weeks of being into the program for just two of my websites. Yes, Project Wonderful is for real. At this average, it’s almost $25 to $40 per month. Do you think that it’s big enough for me to continue with the program? For me it is.

Here are my thoughts on Project Wonderful.

Advantages:

  • Sign up is easy. My registration only took two hours to get approved.
  • It’s a sure way to earn money online. You can’t ask for a better ad program with the best intentions. Just read their introductions and you’ll be amazed at their quite novel idea. Currently, it has become my second top monetizing scheme, the highest is of course still Google Adsense.
  • The money keeps pouring at an unbelievable rate. Your ad box payments are based on bids, so there are times that you can earn $2 to $5 a day for your Project Wonderful ads because of traffic.
  • You can become an instant advertiser. There are a lot of sites on Project Wonderful with a $0 bid for their ad boxes. You can just bid on them and get a link for free! Yep. I just don’t know how this affects your page rank because of Google’s policy on paid links.
  • You don’t need clicks! The program boasts of a per hour basis, so the moment you start displaying ads on your website and somebody bids on them, you start earning money.
  • You can’t get banned. The bid-and-display scheme is totally different from your Adsense pay-per-click and pay-per-impression programs.
  • Google Adsense earnings are not affected, from my experience. Great eh?
  • The payment is processed within a day and sent to your Paypal, as long as you have $10 on your account.

Disadvantages:

  • The ads are not relevant. Any publisher can advertise on your site as long as they have the highest bid.
  • Some advertisements are just really annoying. There’s this ad with a picture of girls’ behind and I just find it so inappropriate and have to remove it each time from my boxes. Of course I can change approvals to manual mode but I think this is more troublesome.
  • Some advertisements are too relevant they are competitors for your niche. This is just a personal opinion though because as I’ve said I don’t notice any changes in my Adsense earnings.

I suggest you enter the program as soon as possible. I think their only requirement is a considerable number of posts. I’m thinking 10 to 20. In my case, I applied with an established website and just re-used the account for my other low traffic sites, which are earning from PW already. For tips and tricks, here are my suggestions:

Always add the nofollow tag to any of your ads. This ensures that you retain your page rank.
Use 125×125 ad boxes, currently the most popular in PW.
If you have time, consider looking out for $0 bids and bid your way through them. This will bring instant traffic to your blog.
Withdraw your money the moment you earn $10. Compared with Google Adsense which is already established, Project Wonderful is just a start-up program. You’ll never know.
